Dr. Amar Rewari

Dr. Amar Rewari is a Yale-educated physician executive and Chief of Radiation Oncology at Luminis Health who bridges clinical medicine, health policy, and financial strategy to drive value-based care. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and as faculty at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Chief of Radiation Oncology

  • Lead clinical operations, business development, and strategic planning for the Luminis Health (LH) radiation oncology service line, including the development of a new radiation oncology free standing center that opened in July 2024 and ACR accreditation at all sites.

  • Develop the Low Dose Radiation Therapy for Benign Diseases Program and currently serve as its Medical Director.

  • Create partnerships with key regional radiation oncology academic and payor providers to boost clinical volume by increasing research offerings/collaboration, decrease leakage, and build brand awareness within the referring and patient community.

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for all new system-wide capital purchases to the C-Suite and strategic initiatives to the Board of Trustees on behalf of the Cancer Service Line.

  • Chair the ACS Commission on Cancer Committee and led a successful 3-year re-accreditation of the oncology service line in 2024, meeting standards designed to support quality, outcomes, and prevention.
